Good product that is not made in China. It's liquid proof for kids but the material breathes and isn't noisy. Cheap plastic liners are hot, noisy (crinkly trash bag sound) and say "I can't breef!" As for Amazon's ratings.
Durability - Looks to be very well made.
Fun - Not really a "fun" item as much as FUNctional...oh, I see what they did there.
Educational - I learned that sometimes you do get what you pay for and it feels good to have an alternative to a potentially hazardous Chinese made product.

I searched a long time for a waterproof matress pad that was safe, didn't emit any toxins and didn't make rustling noises. Let me tell you, this is it. It's great, it provides great protection for our new matress, it's soft and safe. I was a little worried that that it doesn't go down the sides of the matress and only secures with the elastic straps, but it fits great and stays in place. I loved the first one so much I purchased a 2nd. It is expensive and it takes a few runs in the dryer to dry fully, but it seems to be of great quality and I expect it will last a long time.

This mattress is so much nicer than the flimsy mattresses that come with the bassinetts. I love knowing that baby is sleeping comfortably, and safely since it's organic. Only downside is the price, which was a much as the bassinett itself.
